APIC EPI Intensive Course Scholarship Application

Calling all Infection Prevention Team Members and Leaders: It’s Scholarship Time for YOU! 

In collaboration with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), the KHA Quality Team will proudly host 30 individuals from our member hospitals to attend a three-day live, in-person educational infection prevention course called EPI® Intensive at KHA headquarters in Louisville! This  course provides training and competency building to enable professionals in Quality and Infection Prevention to:

  • Develop an effective IPC risk assessment plan
  • Understand the core principles of IPC including epidemiology, microbiology, pathogens, and diseases
  • Identify key drivers and components of an IPC team and program
  • Explain IPC rounding and implementation science basics

To earn the EPI® Intensive Certificate, available 34 CNE credits, and 10 IPUs, participants must complete all program components:

  • Attend three full days of live training led by experienced APIC instructors at the KHA headquarters in Louisville, KY on May 13, 14, and 15, 2026.
  • Complete modules with knowledge checks and a final exam to reinforce learning.

This fantastic scholarship is valued at approx. $1900 per participant! Interested parties may complete the application, no later than 11:59 pm on Tuesday, 03/31/2026. Selected participants will be notified via email, and further information will be provided at that time.
