On July 30, 2025, the KHA Quality Team, along with the palliative care team at Pikeville Medical Center, hosted a deeply meaningful and informative webinar titled “Compassionate Conversations: Navigating Palliative Care Discussions.”  This session brought together health care professionals and families to explore the sensitive yet vital topic of palliative care.

Attendees were guided through practical strategies for approaching these conversations with empathy, clarity, and respect.  The webinar emphasized the importance of listening to patients’ wishes, supporting families through emotionally complex situations, and fostering compassionate communication in clinical settings.
